This is disturbing. For you to use your Windows 11 copy, you must have a Microsoft Account. If you do not, you would be required to create one. There is no way around this, and all of the loopholes that were discovered to create a local account (an account just on your PC) has been patched as if it was a serious concern to Microsoft, and I am sure it is. At the very least, this controls how your license key is used. For example, my license key is paired with my Microsoft ID. I am likely not allowed to sell my Windows 11 Pro copy even though I paid for it.
In addition, having an online account paired with you allows Microsoft to study your work, and computer behavior. This is a ver intrusive means of using your account, but this was agreed by you when you accepted the license agreement that you couldn’t read because it required a law degree. Simply put, your computer must have an online account, and maybe all of the accounts on the computer might require to be online. I don’t know that for sure though.
So what can Microsoft do to solve this? They could allow local accounts again. This will be especially helpful to those where they would otherwise not be able to go online. In example, my Frame Work 16 wifi? configuration is not in the Windows kernel. I needed a USB-C to ethernet adapter in order to get online. If I didn’t have this adapter, my $3,000+ computer would be a paperweight, or an alternative for a Linux distribution.
